Art of Equality provides students with a platform to voice their thoughts and feelings about social justice topics in a constructive and meaningful way. Art has a unique ability to transcend barriers and communicate complex emotions, making it an ideal medium for discussing challenging and sensitive subjects.
As a community focused on embracing diversity, social justice and racial equity, we are all asked to consider what the promise of ABSOLUTE EQUALITY truly means.
Middle School (Region IV), High School (Region IV) and College Undergraduate poets,
spoken word and visual artists are invited to participate in the first Art of Equality Visual Art and Literacy Contest.
Now, more than ever, we all should be engaged in the dialogue about social justice and racial equality so we developed an opportunity for students to share their voices in this dialogue through creative, artistic and constructive ways.
